hundereds of 和 thousands of 的意思是很多...后面要跟名词的复数形式,由于people是不可数名词,所以后面不加s,而letter时可数名词所以后面要加s.
第二句中,a couple of 是一对的意思加上后面的thousand意思就为2000,因为thousand是数词,所以不加s,pound时可数名词,所以加s.a couple of thousand pounds即为2000英镑.
因为第一句hundred本身是形容词， 所以要加众数S。 后面那一句形容词是A COUPLE OF， 所以后面的thousands便不用加了。 第三句跟第一句一样。
有a couple还用加s？不用加
应该是有a无(hundered等)"s",有(hundered等)"s"无a
第一题 people 是没有复数的, 本身己是复数, 因不只一千而是几千所以thosands

最后 如第一题 是几千及很多信, 信是可数的, 所以都有s

相反，当hundred,thousand 等前面没有数词时，且表示“数以百计、千计”等的时候就应加s ,而且可数名词都应加s ,第一题的people 为集合名词，为复数 故不加s
