The Elephant Man is a story about a ugly man named Joseph Merrick . Written by Tim Vicary. Joseph Merrick was a person who was so ugly that others either laughed at him or were afraid of him.So he was not ill but he couldn't go to work either.But he was very happy in the last three years of his life. One of the most touching is a beautiful yong woman give him a smile.
He always kept the beautiful things in his mind.Even when he was kept in the cold and dark little room,he took his mother's picture with him . His mother was beautiful and kind. And the most important that she smiled to him when he was a child.
His mother doesn't abandon of he, although it is his child. From small to large,he is a strange man---elephant man, so no one ever smiled to him, while his mother always on his smile. After her mother died, no one to care for him, to take care of him, and has not seen others smile to him, so, when a beautiful young woman smiled at him, he felt gentle and warm. This is a normal person can understand and feel. This includes a deep love for his mother and appreciate for that beautiful young woman.
I believe that the world is not the second person than the elephant man depth to his mother, no second people more than he need the smile. So when we meet some body like elephant man what shoud we do? Laught him or help him? If you still have love so let’s try our best to help them. Have a public heart is the great quality you have.Beacuse that isn’t every one can have it.
