要解决这个问题,首先要弄清出世、入世的意思.
出世和入世是典型的"儒道互补“的中国观念,至今并没有统一的翻译.如果把出世翻译成reclusive,seclude也都不太对,因为中国的出世更多是一类态度,常常不含有physically out的意思,所谓“大隐于市”.其实英语里本身就有一个词汇“hermit”,这个词是个名词,隐士的意思,与“出世者”相通,为了使句意更明确,我采用hermits' ,而没用hermitic;此外,还放了supramundane一词供作参考
至于入世,不论是佛家的入世还是佛家的入世,都要求去接触世俗社会,感悟世俗社会,改变世俗社会,故这里采用mundane,世俗之意
